This took me for-fricking-ever, but it's finally done. An OC meme about Jake and Ben from this original story I'm writing at the moment.

EXPLANATORY NOTES (tl;dr)

1. My plot sounds really stupid when it's condensed like that. BUT IT ISN'T. D:
Jake only has a little mole below his mouth because I screwed up one of the drawings and left a black mark there. I thought it looked cute so I fixed it up and put one on all of them. Yep.
"token straight gay" = "don't even know if my own story's going to have a happy ending or not yet".

2. I think we actually used to have a pattern for Jake's outfit. Which would explain where the hell it came from. :/

3. Basically the story is from Miranda's POV and, um, scarring her for life by making her see her brother having sex isn't actually part of my plot. I'm putting her through hell as it is. (well, i'm putting EVERYONE through hell tbh, but miranda gets a pretty bad lot too) THEY DO LIKE CHIPS THOUGH. <3

4. Actually, that note in answer to Q1 applies here too. I'm not actually 100% on the details here--and Jake liking Ben is...complicated.
ALSO? I had to draw that. I DID.

5. What's WITH me and having characters who play soccer? WTF.
Oh, and the blonde girl is Miranda. She's a morning person.

6. a) LOL, I :heart: 10 Things I Hate About You. I *had* to do it. I even had the sport-playing person who would conveniently be on an oval. (The thing is, I could see Jake doing it as a joke anyway.)
b) He would do it. He would. Somewhere between Jake coming out and things getting RE-HE-HEAALLY complicated, this happened. TRUST ME. ;)

7. I keep drawing Ben's eyes too wide when I try to draw them both well. And with the high eyebrows. (BRAIN? THEY AREN'T ANDREW G AND JAMES MATHISON. STOP IT.)

8. Ahahaha..haaaa. Yeah. Jake's fantasy-thing is ref'd from a screencap in an episode of this cartoon, Storm Hawks, which...he apparently watches. However, Piper, who is the actual character who ends up in what basically amounts to bondage (how did no one from the show notice that?), is decidely female.
And, c'mooon, I couldn't think of something for Ben. He's [still] straight in my head.

9. Yeah, my bad. I couldn't even think of a pose, so. Little heads on shoulders. Yup.

10. Ref'd off a photo of me and a few friends caving. The brunette is me. (Osoreru? Hope you don't mind I mostly just made up what you look like. Heh. :P)

11. I...no comment. Except for a massive WTF over him looking more manly with breasts than in, like, any of my other drawings. MAKES NO SENSE.

At first I was like "I wanna do this but I don't have gay OCs!" and then I thought....Donnie and Bradley, duh. They're not EXACTLY gay (maybe?) but they wouldn't mind pretending, haha.

I like five very much--how Jake's hair's sticking up and the way they're looking at Miranda like "d'ya mind?" And soccer is just awesome.

The 10 Things, SH, and Idol refs are extra awesome!

Love how you included them in your caving expedition too, hehe. Tooooomb raaaaaider...I blame subliminal LJ icon messaging, sorry.

...That makes me really want to try a gay meme with straight characters who are pretending. And one would have to pretend better than the other. And there would be a mental breakdown involved. Or something.
But, haha, yes! I'm sure Donnie and Bradley wouldn't mind! (besides, it'd give me a looksie at their appearances so i can draw 'em for you~)

I really liked five too, actually. Especially the soocer picture, 'cause it's sorta got *perspective*. I was excited.
To think! Miranda and Jake actually had a really good relationship before my story starts. Daaaamn, I'm horrible to these characters. I think it'll HAVE to be a happy ending one way or another, because otherwise I'd sap their wills to live!

It's probably lucky they didn't come on the REAL expedition--I never would have heard the end of it for going back and would've HAD to continue onward! IT WAS YOOOOOOU. No, hahaha, but I was all "Kay! She'll have short-shorts aaaaand a black singlet, OOH AND BOOTS drawdrawdra--WAITWHAT?!" :P

I'd have no idea what to draw them doing! If you told me what they'd be doing in each answer and I had tiiiime, I could though! :P
If I don't I'll do ones more like the Jeshra/Erikus/Hapthadicus/Athagus drawings.

SHE SURE IS. And she just doesn't know when to quit! Even if it's just some random minor character, SOMEONE will be happy at the end! Haha.

Also wanted to add that I just love Ben's attitude in six, all comfortable friendness and "I'm so okay with this that I'm going to tease you mercilessly for it."

Also also I lol'd at "random minor character" 'cause I imagined a VERY depressing ending for these guys but then you'd be all "EPILOGUE: Y'know that old lady on the park bench feeding the birds when they walked by? Well she has a grandkid now YAY HAPPY ENDING FOR BENCH LADY :DDDD"

Hahaha, oh Ben. I've sort of taken that "I am totally fine with you being gay as long as you aren't gay FOR ME" route with him. And I decided he'd be one of those people who make jokes about stuff they aren't comfortable with as a coping mechanism! /srs bsns

OH, MAN, I LOVE THAT EPILOGUE. HAHAHA. "And she's totally gonna live for another twenty years, and get a boyfriend half her age, and be reunited with the son she had at 14, and her grandkid will love her more than it loves its own mother!" YAY, BENCH LADY, WHAT A CHARMING FUTURE YOU WILL HAVE.
...I am *so* including a mention of a random bench lady somewhere in this story just for you now. hahaha. :D

Hurrah for psychology! That route is top-notch, and quite realistic. I've known people with those qualities. *thumbs-up for realism!*

BWEEE that makes me happyyyy. I'm going to be reading your book and all "YES BENCHLADY NEEDS FANART NOOOOW" and everyone else will be like "wtf, she was only there for two pages." To which I'll reply "BUT SHE HAS THE BEST FUTURE." Golly I love this. XD

OH THAT REMINDS ME, Bradley has a little sister, two or three years old, yeah? He just adores her to pieces. I WAS WONDERING if you'd mind if I called her Rose after Rosella? 'Cause if that's okay with you I have a really cute scene involving a ref. IF NOT I COULD JUST SHARE IT WITH YOU FOR GIGGLES AND CALL HER SOMETHING ELSE, THAT WOULD BE FINE TOO.
